THE PROFESSIONAL BEAUTY ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES BEAUTY BUSINESS CAREER ACCELERATOR SERIES

The Professional Beauty Association (PBA), the largest and most inclusive national trade organization representing manufacturers, distributors, salon and spa business owners, and licensed beauty professionals, is excited to announce its Beauty Business Career Accelerator Series (BBCA), designed to provide junior beauty professionals with the resources required to develop thriving careers in the salon industry

Developed specifically for junior stylists employed at salons, including new talent, Level 1 stylists, and apprentices, these full-day, specially curated workshops develop a high-standard client experience taught by top local educators. Strategically located across the United States, these events are single day sessions followed by networking opportunities designed to empower and equip industry talent to be the best in the business.

In all locations, the agenda for each session will run from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The first half of each program will reflect Artist Standards, including goal setting, career development and how to deliver results. It will include group exercises that encourage participants to look inward and uncover who they want to be as a professional, their commitment to themselves and the salon and their overall responsibilities. The second half will focus on how to apply those goals within the salon to achieve career success and touch on important topics like consultation, the client experience, rebooking, retention, increasing ticket price and product and service recommendations. Each event will close with interactive activities in which participants will network with educators, participate in technical demonstrations with regional celebrities and hear from distributors and other industry pros.

“While the industry has an array of excellent technical programs for beauty professionals to hone their craft, PBA recognizes the need for education that focuses on the business and professional knowledge needed to help junior beauty professionals achieve lasting career success,” shares Nina Daily, PBA Executive Director. “Our goal is to remove barriers associated with lengthy travel, high cost and time spent away from work, while still upholding the highest standards in education. The overarching mission of the Beauty Business Career Accelerator Series is to support PBA’s initiatives to Elevate, Unite and Serve the professional beauty industry.”

Initially, the series will comprise four classes across the country. Stylists are encouraged to attend at the location that is most convenient for them:
